Nicolò Palazzetti is a PhD Candidate at EHESS (Paris) and organiser of the PhD seminar “Research in the arts” and the annual “Master Musique” conference. His research, supervised by Professor Esteban Buch, focuses on Bartók's legacy in Italian post-war culture. His research interests include 20th century music, aesthetics, music analysis and sociology of culture. Nicolò attended several international conferences, such as: “Narratology and the Arts” (Strasbourg 2013), Society for Musicology in Ireland (Dublin 2014), EuroMAC (Leuven 2014), Media and Politics Group (Bangor 2014), Royal Musicological Association Research Students' Conference (Bristol 2015). He has forthcoming publications and reviews on International Review of the Aesthetics and Sociology of Music, Dissonance, Rivista Italiana di Musicologia, Il Saggiatore Musicale and Rivista di Analisi e Teoria Musicale. 

Nicolò received a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy (2010) and a Master’s degree with high distinction in Philosophical Sciences (2013) from the University of Bologna. In Juin 2013 he received Collegio Superiore’s Diploma in Humanities: the Collegio Superiore was established in 1998 as the School of Excellence of the University of Bologna. Nicoló also attended the Conservatory « Gioachino Rossini » of Pesaro.
